History
HCA has been founded by Shaïn Abdoelrahman, educational specialist with a background in the mining construction and road transport industry. Shaïn identified the need for expert level Heavy Equipment Operator training as well as Safety Education that adheres to internationally recognized standards such as OSHA, ANSI and ASME. The aim was to revolutionize work practices, enhance productivity, lower expenses and mitigate risks and injuries in the workplace.

2017
• Establishment of HCA with headquarters in Paramaribo
• Initially served as a learning partner for Surgold, which is currently Newmont Suriname
• Trainers at HCA certified by SOMA Bedrijfsopleidingen Netherlands2018
• Expansion of the team by recruiting safety trainers and administrative personnel
• Commencement of Newmont onboarding training, implementing a safety program for new hires and contractors
• Certification of our Heavy Equipment Operator trainer in the USA2019
• Further growth of the team with the recruitment of an additional safety trainer
• Expansion of the client base2020
• Office renovation to create a COVID-proof environment
• Introduction of the Newmont onboarding safety program in Paramaribo
• Expansion of the team with another safety trainer2021
• Awarded a two-year contract by Newmont Suriname for the third-party vehicle inspection project
• Certification of our trainer in working at height (WAH)2022
• Certification of three trainers in HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
• Certification of the heavy equipment operator trainer in Mobile Elevated Work Platform
• Offering HAZWOPER training to other major clients in Suriname, including StaatsolieNow
• Complete rebuilding of the HCA office, including the establishment of a practical training area
• Rebranding of HCA
• Certification of trainer in Confined Space Entry and Rescue in the USA
• Offering Confined Space Entry and Rescue training to clients in Suriname and the region
• Extension of the contract for the Newmont third-party vehicle inspection project
